We emerged as the second team at Centennial High School with 14 members on the team in the 2018-2019 season. During this season, we won the Inspire Award at one of our qualifiers and the Design Award at states, qualifying us for the world competition. We ultimately decided not to go, however as our rookie year, we believe that this was the beginning of a truly successful team.
2019-2020 Season
Our club went through a major shift in this season, and as a result, the composition of team Exponential changed almost entirely, only retaining one member who had been on the team in the previous season. With this completely new team, Exponential used this season more as a learning opportunity, with half the members having 1 year of FTC experience and the other half being complete rookies. In this season, at the qualifier level, Exponential won 2nd Inspire, 1st Inspire, 1st Connect and managed to be finalists for Innovate and Think. Exponential also managed to be part of the finalist alliance at each of their qualifying events. Sadly with many robot issues at states, the season was halted to an end.
Current Team - 2020-2021 Season
The 2020-2021 team consists of 9 people. It is our third year as an FTC team, and although we have fewer people on our team this year, we now have more experienced and dedicated members. Two of our members are new while the rest has previous experience in FTC, striking a balance between productivity and teaching. Our goal is always to strive for an ambitious and unique robot design as well as consistent outreach into our community. This season, we won the 3rd place Inspire Award and 1st place Inspire Award at the qualifier level, 1st place Connect Award at the state level, and 3rd highest scoring team at the state level.
